PRESENTED BY: Suzanne Murphy, President & Founder, Abeo Consulting Group
Employees want to know how they are performing at work. There is a correlation between providing honest performance feedback and healthy employee retention. Keep your best employees by telling them how they are doing! Involved and informed employees are happy employees who typically go "above and beyond." This presentation will examine how to have frequent, motivating, “no tears” performance conversations with your employees. By the end of this presentation, you will:
- Understand the relationship between managing performance and employee retention
- Possess new feedback tools for communicating both good and poor performance
- Receive a planning guide to prepare for a difficult performance conversation
About the Presenter: While Suzanne founded Abeo Consulting Group in 2006, her excitement for teaching and helping others began during her first employment experiences. Early on, she was participating in employee training programs and mentoring new employees. She knew from the beginning that her work needed to focus on guiding others toward successful, fulfilling and engaging careers. After 25 years in the Human Resources industry, this passion is combined with real-life experience as a manager and leadership coach in a variety of industries including retail, healthcare, technology, manufacturing and financial services.
Suzanne earned the Master of Arts in Human Resources Development with a certificate in Organization Development from the University of St. Thomas, as well as completed the Trainer 1 Certification. In addition, she holds a Bachelor of Science in Interpersonal Communication from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. She is an active member of the talent management community in the Twin Cities, served on the Executive Committee of the Association for Talent Development – Greater Twin Cities chapter, and is a proud member of the Woodbury Area Chamber of Commerce. Suzanne, her husband Matt and daughters Megan and Becca are 10-year residents of Woodbury. Their yellow lab, Fred, is a proud 2-year Woodbury resident.
