Description
To commemorate the 25th anniversary of 9/11, the Woodbury American Legion Post 501 and VFW Post 9024 will be holding Poppy Days on 11-13 Sept 2026. The red poppy is a nationally recognized symbol of sacrifice worn by Americans since World War I to honor those who served and died for our country. The poppy reminds Americans of the sacrifices made by veterans while protecting this countries freedom and those who died on 9/11.
The proceeds from Poppy Days help the Posts support High School scholarships, Legionville summer camp, American Legion Boys State, Legion Baseball, and Woodbury charities that promote veterans’ care.
