The Mayor's Business Update--A Popular Annual Event Held Virtually This Year!
PRESENTER: Mayor Anne Burt
The Mayor's Business Update
An annual Chamber event, please join us for the first virtual Mayor’s Business Update and hear Mayor Burt reflect on highlights of the year. This Teams Live event will feature updates regarding the City Council’s strategic initiatives and projects in the City, an introduction of our new Councilmember(s), and several interactive opportunities for providing the City with feedback. Due to the technology platform being used, we will not be able to process RSVPs after the registration deadline.
Presenter: Anne Burt was elected Woodbury’s sixth mayor in 2018. Prior to being elected Mayor, Burt served on the City’s Planning Commission, Parks and Recreation Commission and 2040 Comprehensive Plan Task Force. Mayor Burt holds a degree in chemistry from the University of Dayton and an MBA from Johns Hopkins University. She has worked for more than 30 years in business development and marketing, with a special emphasis on water quality, most recently for Phigenics, LLC. A Woodbury resident since 2004, Burt and her husband Jeff have three children who are current students or recent college grads. Burt sits on the boards of the Woodbury Area Chamber of Commerce and the Woodbury Community Foundation and is an active member of the St. Ambrose of Woodbury Catholic Community. She enjoys the city parks and trails on her bike and plays tennis regularly. Mayor Burt is always open to conversations with residents and businesses.
