Description
TOPIC: "Untangling the Employment Law Web"
PRESENTER: Lida Bannink, Attorney, Eckberg Lammers, PC
About the Program: Many small and medium size businesses find themselves having to comply with large state and federal regulations that are entirely new to them. This presentation will focus on the information that businesses need to know to continue to run a profitable business while protecting their employees and also navigating various state and federal leave and anti-discrimination laws. The goal is to answer those questions that the presenter's clients are bringing most frequently. Topics will include:
- An overview of old and new employment laws applicable to Minnesota businesses relevant to the current pandemic
- Preparedness plan for protecting employees and customers
- Policies and procedures in place such as leave, PTO, and discipline which will allow you to manage your employees while avoiding running afoul of state and federal laws
This presentation is meant to give you both an overview of things to consider as well as hands on practical advice including sample documents the presenter has drafted for clients.
About the Presenter: Lida Bannink is a shareholder and attorney with Eckberg Lammers, P.C. licensed in both Minnesota and Wisconsin and leads the labor and employment law practice group.
