Description
94/494/694 Interchange - Second Most Traveled Interchange in the State
Please join us to hear from Representative Kelly Fenton on the Interstate Highways 94, 494, and 694 bill she authorized. Representative Fenton authorized a bill that would enact funding relative to capital investment; appropriate money for an interchange project at signed Interstate Highways 94, 494, and 694; and authorize the sale and issuance of trunk highway bonds. Representative Fenton will address the importance of conducting a study that supports possible changes or options to this heavily traveled interchange--it has seen nearly a 8% increase in use since 2015. The study will be conducted by MN Department of Transportation (MNDOT). We hope are able to attend. Registration is required.
About the Speaker:
Representative Fenton proudly serves the people of District 53B in Woodbury. She is the Assistant Majority Leader and her committee assignments include Vice Chair of Commerce and Regulatory Reform, Government Operations and Elections Policy, Rules and Legislative Administration and State Government Finance.
Kelly came to the Minnesota Legislature with a diverse background in public service and education. A former school teacher and alternative certification trainer, her goal as a legislator is to improve and expand educational opportunities for students in Minnesota, and ensure every child receives a world-class education. Long before being elected to the Legislature, Fenton served as president of the board for the Minnesota Excellence in Public Service Series, a nine-month leadership and political training institute for women. She has a bachelor’s degree from Marquette University and a master’s degree from the University of Houston. Kelly lives with her husband, Greg in Woodbury. Together, they have three children
