Bakery Lead

Opening/Closing Bakery:

  • Opening and closing of bakery doors as needed for the operating hours of Monday through Friday, 9am-6pm and Saturday, 10am-6pm.
  • Starting and finishing the POS drawers; ensuring drawers are balanced.
  • Loading of the front bakery case.
  • Daily use of Checklists to ensure all Opening/Closing Duties are fulfilled.
Overall Leading of Bakery during Open Hours:
  • Overseeing employees and guests while assisting with crafting.
  • Consistently ensuring guest impressions/needs are being attended to by GSRs (Front of House). Managing the crafting area and orders (Back of House).
  • Observing and managing tickets for Same Day and also Next Day. Ensuring communication between frosting and crafting areas regarding priority, changes and during the changing of shifts.
  • As soon as possible during the day, assemble crafting bins for decorated cakes.
  • Processing the decorating of cakes.
  • Assisting with daily task lists for assembling of crafts, boxes, flags, etc.
  • Being readily available to find solutions to employee and guest issues.
  • Assisting with daily training, both with new employees and additionally with on-going training of details for more tenured employees.
  • Assisting with consistent reviewal of email.
  • Performing other miscellaneous duties as needed.
Assisting with Weekly Operational Duties:
  • Ability to place orders with vendors.
  • Assemble 3M/Event Materials.
  • Maintenance of Wedding Folders, Quotes and Tier Rentals.
  • Assess donations and donation protocol.
  • Updating of marketing coupons received on spreadsheet.
Additional Details:
  • Physically standing for majority of working shifts.
  • Frequent lifting requirements as supplies are brought to the bakery, etc. Items can weigh as much as 50 lbs. Employee should ask for assistance where possible and if there are any concerns.
  • Fast paced environment which requires quick responses to guests, phones, on-line ordering and employees.
Other Necessary Qualifications:
  • High school diploma required.
  • Genuinely cares about value of the brand and representation of our cakes.
  • Possess a strong sense of teamwork; dependable and has integrity.
  • Possess leadership skills and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to multi-task while paying special attention to detail.
  • Excellent communications skills.
Experience in mentoring and conflict resolution.
