Over the past 30 years\, Lori Spiess\, CEO of OffiCenters has had the unique perspective to observe thousands of new and small businesses up close and personal. She has had a front row seat in watching the businesses her company serves grow and what it really takes to succeed. Lori has noticed patterns for success\, but most troubling are behaviors that show when a business needs help or needs to get back on track. Lori is recognized as a trailblazer\, inspiring others with her commitment\, business savvy and tenacity to change and grow businesses while remaining passionate about her industry. OffiCenters won the GWA Most Innovative Workspace Award in 2013 for converting five locations from traditional business centers into a hybrid model of business center and coworking spaces that transformed office culture and created a unique business community. Now\, seven locations strong\, their membership has grown to over 1000 businesses\, with over 90% solopreneur or micro-businesses. Their spaces are no longer about four walls but push boundaries of work/life balance. She is a proud Past President of Global Workspace Association where she has shared her insights as a speaker and trainer on a global level. Lori is a Head and Neck Cancer survivor whose motto is "Life is Short. Work Someplace Awesome."
