SUMMARY:Chamber Book Banter 2026-2027
DESCRIPTION:Woodbury Chamber Book Banter\n\nThe Anxious Gneration\n\n \n\nJoin us for Woodbury Chamber Book Banter: a chance to gather with fellow members for engaging conversations\, diverse perspectives\, and maybe a little friendly debate around this thought-provoking book.\n\n\n\nThe Anxious Generation by Jonathan Haidt\n\nHow has the rise of smartphones and social media changed the way we live\, connect\, and develop? Haidt examines the impact of a phone-based childhood and offers ideas for creating healthier relationships with technology\, connection\, and community.\n\nWe'll have light (and occasionally deeper!) conversations about each book\, exploring the ideas that made us think\, challenged us\, or made us say\, "Wait I've never thought about it that way."\n\nRather than simply reading a book on your own\, we'll talk through the ideas and connect the concepts to our professional and personal lives\, making the lessons more memorable. \n\nFacilitator\n\n\n\n\n\nStephanie Elliston\, coach and founder of The Steady Elevation\, helps organizations develop leaders who can do more than manage the work\; they can lead the people doing it. Through The Steady Elevation\, Stephanie partners with organizations to strengthen leadership\, improve communication\, and build cultures where different work styles\, generations\, and perspectives can thrive.\n\nHer approach combines leadership development\, emotional intelligence\, assessments\, coaching\, and culture strategy to help organizations move from good intentions to measurable\, sustainable change. \n\nStephanie's personal journey also led her to coach women sitting in a season of miscarriage\, infertility\, and surrogacy. She'll launch her first women's retreat this February 2027!
