Prior to being elected Mayor\, Burt served on the City's Planning Commission\, Parks and Recreation Commission and 2040 Comprehensive Plan Task Force.\n\nMayor Burt holds a degree in chemistry from the University of Dayton and an MBA from Johns Hopkins University. She has worked for more than 30 years in business development and marketing\, with a special emphasis on water quality\, most recently for Phigenics\, LLC. A Woodbury resident since 2004\, Burt and her husband Jeff have three children who are current students or recent college grads.
