The FBI recently posted a warning on their web site about a new threat called Business Email Compromise or the “CEO Scam”.  Since 2015, this has cost US business over $3 billion in stolen funds.  Attend this session and learn how this new threat works, what to watch for, and how to prevent the scam from costing your business big money.
One of the ways to protect yourself against the CEO scam and other cyber-threats, is to create and store longer and stronger passwords using a Password Manager and Two-Factor Authentication.  Password manager programs such as LastPass, Dashlane, and KeePass are a great way to safely store and use longer, more complex, and site unique passwords without having to remember more than a single password.  In addition, it creates a better and more secure way to create, store and use passwords.  Adding two-factor authentication will provide you with the best in password security and makes using a stolen password much more difficult for a cyber-criminal.  There are several easy-to-use systems from SMS to smartphone/cell phone to authentication apps such as Authy and Google Authenticator.  Attendees will learn how the systems work and which system might be best for you.
